It was the paper edition, since I muss confess I didn't manage to go through the pdf edition. The guys at Sonatype has divided this book in to two parts. May be this book is bit outdated as well. There is a book by Oreilly called Maven definitive guide. Get the definitive guide on all the fundamentals of Terracotta as well as user secrets, recipes, and prepackaged frameworks.
